Kehillat Ohr Tzion is a Modern Orthodox synagogue that offers a warm and welcoming community in which members can grow both intellectually and spiritually as Jews. Our shul encourages participation of both men and women in all of our religious and community activities as guided by our rich and nourishing Halakhic tradition. We provide engaging opportunities for both children and adults to learn and participate in our shul family. Kehillat Ohr Tzion is a multigenerational synagogue and embraces members from varying Jewish backgrounds. Our congregation values diversity and inclusiveness.
Rabbi Joshua Strosberg grew up in Schenectady, NY where he cultivated a love of small shuls and was an active member of the Upstate N.Y. NCSY circuit. He received rabbinic ordination from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah in New York City. During his years at YCT, he taught classes at the Forest Hills Y, the Kinneret School, and SAR High School in Riverdale.
